Shooting at New Hampshire Psychiatric Hospital Leaves ‘Multiple Victims’

A shooting at a state psychiatric hospital in Concord, N.H., on Friday afternoon left “multiple victims,” the New Hampshire State Police said.

Dozens of law enforcement vehicles were deployed to New Hampshire Hospital as darkness settled over the capital city.

The New Hampshire Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management said later on social media that the situation at the hospital had been “contained” and that the assailant was dead. The department, which did not immediately respond to calls seeking comment, did not offer more details about the shooting.

A news conference was scheduled for later Friday evening.

New Hampshire Hospital said on its website that it treats people with mental illness.
