AI industry leaders urge Congress to pass safety rules

Tools using artificial intelligence are on the rise worldwide and now industry leaders are pleading with Congress to start passing new safety rules. Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, which developed ChatGPT, warned Tuesday of possible “significant harm to the world” if there aren’t standards and guardrails.
