Several Shot in Kansas City Near Super Bowl Victory Rally, Police Say

A rally to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ momentous Super Bowl victory was marred when several people were shot nearby at the end of the event on Wednesday afternoon, the police said.
Shots were fired near Union Station and several people were struck, the Kansas City Police Department said. It was unclear how many were injured. Two armed people were detained, the police said.
A parade began around 11 a.m., and ended with a rally in front of the train station in Kansas City, Mo. A livestream of the celebration showed a chaotic scene outside as a sea of hundreds of fans in red jerseys fled from the rally.
